Ok, but what about jewelry?
Something a lot of people might not consider for their session is what jewelry to bring (or leave home) for their boudoir session with us!
We actually have some strong feelings on this topic we want to share with you so that when you book you know exactly what to pack for your big day!
Do bring:
Special pieces.
Do you have some extra special items in your collection that mean a lot to you? I know I do!
Wedding/engagement ring
My mom literally forgot her wedding ring when I photographed her. True story! Make sure you pack it or wear it to your shoot if you want to be photographed in it.
Stud earrings
Diamonds (real or fake), studs, or any kind of stud really.
Rings
We love a good detail shot of rings!
Flashy costume jewelry: Click me for an example
These can be super fun and eye catching for a glam vibe. Tons of options on amazon! We love sparkles :)
Simple chain bracelets and necklaces
Things that might not be the best idea:
Hoop/dangle earrings.
Why? Because a lot of our poses are reclined or laying down, and these get floppy and look weird. We prefer you stick with studs unless you have a certain pair you really love. We CAN make them work if they're important to you for traditional portraits or standing poses.
Pendant necklaces.
Why? Similar reasons as above! Unless the piece is sentimental to you, pendants tend to slide around and get lost in your hair, and can take a lot of time constantly having to reposition between poses.
