Here are her top 3 makeup tips that every woman can benefit from:

• When applying mascara, if you get some on your skin do not try to wipe it off immediately! First, let it dry, then get a q-tip and roll it over the mascara. No mess! Plus, it won’t irritate your skin or make it red from rubbing it off, so when you go to apply your concealer or foundation it will be more even.

• If you have oily skin, blot any excess oil off of your skin with oil blotting sheets. Do not wipe. When you wipe you can spread the oil even further, thus causing clogged pores. Blotting removes the oil without spreading it around your skin further, also helping to reduce pimples.

• And lastly, if you do not have a good primer in your makeup routine, it’s time to get one! Using a primer before applying your foundation and the rest of your makeup is a must in Caitlin’s book! Not only does it smooth out your pores, but it creates a wonderful base to make sure your makeup is long-lasting, reduces shine on your skin’s surface, and helps to manage oily skin. A win all around!
