Changing your profile picture to a boudoir picture.

A LOT (and I mean a LOT) of our clients change their profile picture to one of their boudoir images after their session with us! And we think that is fantastic. Why not? You look good, you feel good, what is the harm in that? We think it's amazing when a woman is so proud of her images and the way she looks that she wants to share it with the world.  [If you choose to keep your images completely private, we also think that's amazing and support that decision too!]

With the rules of what can and cannot be shared on social media, it's not like you can really share anything overly provocative anyways. So most of the time, our clients are as covered or more than they would be in a bikini. However it's the IMPLICATION of nudity that sometimes sparks friends/family/coworkers to leave rude comments.

Just because a woman is inside in a body suit or bra, instantly everyone's brain goes to SEX. Even though her bikini is probably more revealing, but because she is by a pool that makes it less sexual. And while I understand the connotation, I truly don't understand why it's a problem. Same woman, same body, probably more clothing.

So how do we deal with grumpy Aunt Peggie (sorry if your name is Peggie, I had to use a place filler and that's just what came to mind first after Karen - but Karens have had it pretty rough these days so I had to some up with something else and was sure to change the name to an uncommon spelling)??

My gut reaction is always to IGNORE, or even delete their comment if you can. Sometimes it's not worth our energy to try to change someone’s mind or inform them that you're a full grown adult who can make their own decisions.

But if you really need to clap back, here are a few golden nuggets for you to try.

  • Thank you for your concern.

  • I am well Aunt Peggie, how are you?

  • I am ___ years old.

  • You're lucky I have any clothes on.

  • You're right, let me change it to one of my butt.

  • I'm sorry, I thought it was 2024 not 1924.

  • My mommy said I could.

  • Did you buy your audacity in bulk at Costco?

  • So I shouldn't use these as my holiday card this year?

Well, that escalated quickly. I actually had to edit this to take out the VERY aggressive ones, LOL.

You do not have to make your boudoir image your profile picture, but if you want to you should feel empowered to do - and to hell with anyone who has anything negative to say about it! You do you, we will support you!

If you’re ready to have a smokin’ profile picture, let’s chat!

And one day.. she discovered that she was fierce, and strong and full of fire, and that not even she could hold herself back because her passion burned brighter than her fears”
