Can I book on a weekend?
This question comes up a lot! I get it. For someone that works a traditional work schedule, it’s way more convenient to book on a weekend when you’re off work.
At Boudoir by Constance Studio, we are a weekday studio, and most of the sessions happen on Mondays and Tuesdays! There’s good reason for it too.
We are lucky enough to have our studio located inside of the Historic George Washington Hotel, which is primarily more of an event center than an actual hotel. They host grand weddings on the weekends, and because of that the spaces that we can traditionally get into during the weeks are off-limits: the bar, the ceremony room, the grand piano, Pioneer Room, etc. I mean, Aunt Cece might be a little shocked if she was watching her niece walk down the aisle and there was a lady in very-little lingerie being photographed on the balcony above, right?
Another reason we don’t photograph on the weekends is because our exceptionally talented hair and makeup artists are booked during the weekends for weddings, large events, or have family activities.
And lastly, I (Constance) have two little children. This is my full-time job, and while I absolutely adore it and have such a passion for it, I also need my family time. We set-aside weekends to visit the grandparents, birthday parties, and other fun events.
As much as it may seem like an inconvenience to only have our studio open by-appointment during the week, women love the fact that they get to plan a day for themselves and take a personal day off of work! Most women book several months in advance, so it’s easy to request off that day.
Unless you’re looking for an “overflow” day on a Wednesday, we are basically 100% booked on Mondays and Tuesdays for the next few months. If you would like to snag my 2 Wednesday spots per month, let’s chat!
