Facials Before a Boudoir Session

Are you thinking about treating yourself to a facial before your boudoir session?

We think that's a great idea!

Facials are a wonderful addition to your self-care routine, whether you are DIY-ing it at home, or going to a spa for your treatments.

The skin on your face is going to be on full display in the majority of your boudoir images, so of course you may want to treat it extra nicely leading up to your shoot.

If you want to DIY a facial, here are our tips!

Buy quality products. If you're using products you haven't used before, it's important to pick products with high quality ingredients to avoid any possible reactions. If you aren't sure what to buy, visit a specialty store or spa to get expert advice.

Get a consultation. Some stores will offer a skin care consult to direct you to the best combination of products for you!

Sometimes things will get worse before they get better. Changing your skincare routine can sometimes trigger a reaction or it can bring out impurities from your pores. Make sure anything you are doing is done several weeks in advance of your shoot so you don't wake up with pimples or a rash the day of your shoot.

Focus on moisture! The aging process happens in great part due to lack of moisture. Moisture masks and treatments will help keep your skin looking plump and healthy.

Vitamin C is a powerhouse for your face. Don't rub an orange directly on your skin, but do look for a vitamin C serum to add to your daily routine.

Drinking collagen can also improve the look of your skin!

Drinking adequate water daily can also improve the look of your skin.

Your lips and eyes deserve love too, look for moisture masks and treatments for these delicate areas of your face!
