When should I book if I want images for Christmas?
I cannot tell you how many emails we get in November and December asking if they can book for a Christmas present!
It's always so sad for me to have the send the "sorry we are fully booked until June of next year" email, but many times that is our reality!
It is common for our studio to be booked 6-9 months in advance, with dates for Christmas presents being among the first to get snagged.
It takes roughly 4 weeks to get products in, and since the holidays are a busy time to order albums and other gift items, the manufacturers often have a “Christmas cutoff date” of the second week of November in order to guarantee products to be manufactured AND shipped in time.
So, I recommend booking mid-October though mid-November, and since we book 6-9 months out (sometimes more) don’t wait past March or April to book that session.
